Knocked Up Celebs

I pretty much ignore Chris Brown these days, but a good pregnancy rumor always makes my ears perk up.  Media Take Out claims they have it on good authority that the notorious bad boy has knocked up his girlfriend Karrueche Tran.    Their solid evidence consists of a photo of the model looking a little bloated in the midsection.   It could be a baby, sure… but then again, it could also be a burrito.   I mean, she’s so tiny that if she ate two bites of a salad, she’d look bloated.  And have you seen the way she eats?  Check out this pic she posted on Twitter.   Yum!

So take a look at the photo, consider the evidence available and then tell us what you think: is Karrueche Tran knocked up or not?

I usually don’t cover the gossip rags’ screaming headlines claiming some celeb or another is knocked up, because 1) they are usually wrong and 2) there’s a new rumor every week.  Someone is always pregnant or about to be pregnant or thinking about eventually getting pregnant or having sex that could, theoretically, lead to a pregnancy, or perhaps they’re just ovulating, but YOU NEVER KNOW.

But the current issue of OK! is just so ridiculous that I couldn’t help myself.   Evidently they’re fresh out of Jennifer Aniston pregnancy fiction this week, because they’re claiming that new couple Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are in a family way… or at least, they would both like to be, because supposedly this was an issue in each of their recent divorces.   And all it would take, according to their “source,” is a little fertility treatment for Sandra, who, at age 47, would probably need more than a little help getting pregnant – even with Ryan’s young, virile sperm. Oh, and also, he’d be an awesome dad because he went hiking with Sandra and her son Louis.

I might be considered un-American for saying this, but I am not a huge Sandy fan.  However, she appears to me to be a very smart woman, and a smart, fairly newly-single woman knows you don’t date a man 13 years younger than you to make him your baby daddy.  They’re for having fun with, and I am sure that’s exactly what these two are doing together.   No need to complicate all that with a bun in the oven.

Alyson Hannigan was photographed this weekend leaving the Malibu Kiwanis Chili Cook Off, Carnival and Fair with husband Alexis Denisof, daughter Satyana, a goldfish and a little belly pooch.   After the internet went crazy with pregnancy rumors, she Tweeted her firm denial of a new (human) addition to the Denisof family.  While she does concede that it might appear that way (“I do LOOK pregnant in that photo!”), Alyson says:

“NO, I’m not pregnant! I just ate too much carnival food, that time of the month, hurt my back & couldn’t suck my gut in, & need 2 do cardio!”

And just in case you didn’t get the message:

“And I’m NEVER gonna wear that shirt again!!!”

Does the lady protest too much?

Seriously, though, I think a girl should be allowed to eat as many funnel cakes and corn dogs as she wants without worrying about the paps catching the visual evidence on her way to her car.   On the other hand, another little Alyson-Alexis genetic mix would be cute….

Speculation about Jennifer Garner‘s reproductive status has been rampant for awhile, but it really heated up about a week ago when these these photos surfaced.

I have to say, before I saw these pictures, I was not a believer.  Just a week before this, Jen rocked a beautiful blue gown when she met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their trip to Los Angeles.

Do you see any baby bump in this picture?  I don’t.   (Or maybe it’s just artfully hidden among all that draping.)

Then again, any woman who has been pregnant knows that you can look pretty normal for weeks and then suddenly, one day, your belly pooches out like a pan of Jiffy Pop, and then there’s no more hiding the fact that you’re in a family way.

With her new son not even a week old yet, Lauryn Hill should be basking in that fresh baby glow.  Instead, she’s addressing rumors about the child’s paternity, and clearing up a few critical details about her relationship with longtime love Rohan Marley.

While Marley is the father of her five other children – Zion (13), Selah (12), Joshua (9), John (8) and Sarah (3) – he has stated that he didn’t do the deed for #6.  Earlier this week he Tweeted:

I’m forwarding all well wishes to Ms. Hill on the birth of her new son.

The gossip mill even suggested that perhaps he had left Lauryn late in her pregnancy for model Isabeli Fontana.

Lauryn released a clarifying – and a little bit accusatory – statement via her spokesperson yesterday explaining more, and asking for some privacy around the issue.

“Mr. Marley and I have a long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning. To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We both value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it.

Contrary to the numerous reports, Mr. Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child.  We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to both of us. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son.”

So if I’m reading that correctly, he might well have left her while she was pregnant, just not with HIS CHILD.  Are you getting that too?  And even though Lauryn is 100% right, it’s none of our business, of course now I’m just more curious about who the father might be…

OK!‘s screaming headline this week claims that Reese Witherspoon is pregnant.   Their evidence is scant, but is it compelling?

The gossip rag noticed that Reese wore a shirt over her bikini at the beach on Independence Day weekend.   They also have it on good authority from an “insider” that Reese and her new husband,  Jim Toth, have “been trying for some time” to get pregnant.  The same source says that Reese isn’t exercising as much as she normally does and that her stomach  “isn’t washboard flat.”    Therefore, she “may be pregnant already.”

It is not unthinkable that Jim would want to have his own children with Reese, even though their family already includes the adorable Deacon and Ava.   But does anyone but the pair in question really know whether they’ve thrown out the birth control?

Just a few days after she supposedly covered up a growing middle, Reese was spotted out visiting a friend, wearing a dress with a gathered waist.  She doesn’t look pregnant to me!  What’s your take?  Drop a comment and let me know what you think.

It has been rumored that Nicole Richie was expecting again after being spotted last week with what looked like a small baby bump. Nicole has cleared up this rumor saying:

“Contrary to recent speculation, I am not pregnant. This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity. To publicly point out a change in anyone’s body is mean spirited and cruel. People’s bodies change and change again. This is not newsworthy and is a waste of valuable media space that should be used for more important issues.”

I mean Nicole is right in a way. It’s not nice to tell women they look like they are pregnant. But then on the other hand we like to know if someone is pregnant. It’s a Catch 22, I swear it.

Rumors out just a couple of weeks ago said that Victoria Beckham was expecting a girl. But Victoria has denied this rumor saying that she doesn’t know the sex of the baby.

“I can go on the record and say, contrary to rumors, I do not know the sex of my baby. We feel so lucky and so blessed. We know what to do with a boy. The kids are excited about having a little brother to teach how to play soccer … But, if it’s a girl, we’d be over the moon as well.”

I guess if I was the Beckham’s I would be wanting to have it as a surprise too.

Reports this morning are saying that Kate Hudson is pregnant with her boyfriend, Matthew Bellamy. A source confirmed it to People magazine saying:

“They couldn’t be more excited. Kate is really happy. She was always excited to have kids again at some point.”

Matthew, the lead singer of Muse, and Kate have been dating for about nine months now. There hasn’t been a confirmation or denial from either reps as of yet.

There have been rumors flying around that Reese Witherspoon is pregnant with boyfriend, Jim Toth‘s baby. She has been dating Jim for seven months and is close to her two kids.

While shopping recently she was looking a lit be heavier and the rumors started. A rep for the actress jumped on the rumors saying:

“She’s not pregnant.”

Reese has two kids, Ava and Deacon, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
