Knocked Up Celebs

Everyone knows that Nicole Richie and her longtime boyfriend, Joel Madden, have tattoos. It seems to be something that is always talked about between parents. I know that I get asked the same questions when people see my tattoos. And Nicole recently explained that her kids won’t be getting any tattoos…she hopes.

“I know I sound like a hypocrite, but I would be so sad. Joel has [tattoo] sleeves and his twin brother Benji has tattoos on his neck and his face. I’m just hoping that my kids will be so embarrassed of them that they’re not going to have any. It happens!”

I know I would say the same thing about my children but I imagine they won’t listen to me and get tattoos as soon as they can.

Nicole Richie looks amazing on the August 2010 issue of the UK edition of  InStyle magazine. Nicole always looks great though. Here are some highlights from the interview:

On entertaining at home: ‘I don’t have a hat and apron, but I entertain at home a lot. I love cooking for other people. My house is pretty eclectic. I think it represents me well. It’s fun and comfortable at the same time and it’s a place where a lot of people like to be.’

On how daughter, Harlow, dresses herself: ‘[Harlow] picks her own clothes. It’s a 20-minute thing – it begins at 7.30 each morning – but it is what it is and it’s fine.”

On her style secret: ‘I collect a lot of vintage kimonos and vintage bed jackets. I’ll throw those on, and a lot of the time it will appear that I’m wearing a completely different outfit, but I’m not.’

Nicole Richie was seen making her way to traffic school in Van Nuys, California yesterday. It seems that Nicole is trying to bore the paparazzi by wearing the same thing over and over each day. Yesterday was the third day in a row that she wore the same outfit. I don’t know about you but I don’t mind seeing her in the same thing. She always looks great even going to traffic school!

Nicole Richie looked beautiful on the red carpet at Bing’s Celebration of Creative Minds After-Party held at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood last night.

Her appearance came after finding out that her probation has been extended. The judge said that she failed to attend her alcohol education classes. And the reason for these missed classes? Because she was at home taking care of kids, Harlow and Sparrow.

Nicole Richie was spotted picking up daughter, Harlow, from dance class in Studio City, California today. Yesterday it was Earth Day and lately I have been behind on things so I am just seeing this now. Nicole wrote on her website about the ways that she lives green in her life. I know I am always interested to see if there is any way I can change how I do things. Here are some of her tips:

1. Carry your own reusable containers to restaurants to bring home your leftovers.
2. Avoid buying bottled water and get a reusable bottle instead.
3. Use biodegradable alternatives to plastic (cups, utensils, plates, bags).
4. Compost all of your table scraps and leftover food — it all goes back into the earth.
5. Ride your bike if you’re traveling within two miles of your house (1 pound of CO2 pollution is cut for every mile pedaled).
6. Eat less meat and eat more local and organic foods.
7. My personal favorite: Turn things you might throw away into art projects for your kids — for instance, you can turn a baby food jar into a snow globe.

Those are great tips, especially the last one.

Nicole Richie was spotted yesterday looking fab going to traffic school in Los Angeles, California. I love how she makes looking good effortless. I know that it takes me a lot more than that to look great.

Nicole has been going to driving school for a while now. I wonder when her classes end or it’s something that she has to do all the time. Either way she has done a great job at turning everything around. With a great fiance, Joel Madden, and two kids, Harlow and Sparrow, everything is going just fine.

Nicole Richie was seen debuting her Winter Kate collection at Nordstrom’s in Chicago today. I love how amazing she always looks.

It was recently revealed by a source that Nicole is obsessed with organic food and is determined to only use natural products when cooking for the kids.

“Nicole is obsessed with doing everything she can to try to keep her children healthy and safe. She insists on everything being organic. The food, the diapers, the clothing. She’s always at Whole Foods. Her parents let her do whatever she wanted. Now she has strict rules.”

I am trying to incorporate organic foods into my kids diets but have seemingly failed. I know there is always room and time to start doing it though.

Joel Madden and Nicole Richie are set to get married soon. I couldn’t think of a better couple. Recently Joel revealed that because of the love and support he gets from Nicole it makes him a better person.

“I’m the best I’ve ever been. I have two kids that are my life – they’re my entire world. I have an awesome partner who is really supportive; She makes me the best version of myself that I’ve ever been.”

And now that he is a father, he is going to stand up to his responsibilities.

“I think you can decide to be the best dad and partner you can be, or you can run from it. It’s a heavy thing when your life changes. But my kids make me feel good about myself. I’m not really worried about succeeding or failing.”

I think he has done a great job. Nicole and Joel have two kids, Harlow and Sparrow.

Nicole Richie has been everywhere lately. She has been busy promoting her new clothing line, Winter Kate. Recently she sat down with Ellen Degeneres and confirmed that she was in fact engaged to long time boyfriend, Joel Madden.

“I am [engaged]. We have been together about three and a half years.[No concrete plans] yet, but soon [we'll have a wedding date]. Yeah, it’s a big deal.”

I wonder if she is designing her own wedding dress? But it sounds like she hasn’t had much time to think about the wedding.

“Yeah, I’m actually not sure [about maids of honor] — I’ve been on the road. I just got home and so it’s really going to be, like, now that’s the time for me to sit down and think about what I want.”

She also just gave an update on how her son, Sparrow, is doing too.

“He is six months. He’s huge. He was almost eight pounds when he was born. [Harlow's] 22 pounds and she’s 2 and he’s 18 pounds and he’s 6 months — needless to say, I’m exhausted.”

I know my son almost weighs more than my daughter too even though there are seven years between them. I know what she is for sure talking about.
