Knocked Up Celebs

Hot celebrity mom Elle MacPherson made a fabulous appearance at the NBC Winter Tour party on Friday night.  She’s promoting her new show Fashion Star, a fashion competition that provides a direct link between the designers, retailers and the general public.

On Fashion Star, contestants will present their designs to buyers from Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and H&M.  Viewers will also have the chance to immediately purchase items shown on the show.

Joining MacPherson on the show as celebrity mentors are two other celeb parents and one mom to be:  Nicole Richie, Jessica Simpson, and designer John Varvatos.

Catch Elle’s new venture when it premieres on NBC on March 13th.

Nicole Richie took her daughter Harlow Madden (3) out for some community fun at the Kiwanis Chili Cook Off, Carnival and Fair in Malibu.   My goodness, these two are photogenic.   They even make paparazzi photos look like a photoshoot!

Harlow looks like the perfect blend of Nicole and dad Joel Madden.  Speaking of Joel, I wonder if Sparrow was home with dad?

It has been rumored that Nicole Richie was expecting again after being spotted last week with what looked like a small baby bump. Nicole has cleared up this rumor saying:

“Contrary to recent speculation, I am not pregnant. This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity. To publicly point out a change in anyone’s body is mean spirited and cruel. People’s bodies change and change again. This is not newsworthy and is a waste of valuable media space that should be used for more important issues.”

I mean Nicole is right in a way. It’s not nice to tell women they look like they are pregnant. But then on the other hand we like to know if someone is pregnant. It’s a Catch 22, I swear it.

Nicole Richie was spotted at the Jean-Paul Gaultier Ready to Wear Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 show at the French designer’s atelier in Paris. Paris Fashion Week has taken over the world I think!

After the show Nicole tweeted:

“Bravo Gaultier! The silver & gold hair was MAJOR!!!”

I think that Nicole has this certain style about her. She is always wearing the right things including what she wore to the front row fashion for Gaultier.

Nicole Richie was spotted leaving her gym in Los Angeles yesterday. She had an one hour personal training session. And again I have to point out that it doesn’t matter what she is wearing it always looks good. Even the red sunglasses!

Nicole recently was on The View and she had some advice for Charlie Sheen.

“I don’t think he should make it somebody else’s responsibility to keep him sober. If he wants [his sobriety] to last for a long time, it’s up to him,” Richie told on the talk show. “He’s an adult and he needs to take responsibility for his actions.”

I think that Nicole has come a long way from where she was too. And she’s doing a great job!

“[Harlow is] still too young to understand fashion, but she loves to play with my makeup and tries on my lipstick. I just let her do it because it’s part of being a girl and part of experimenting. It’s all in good. She’s very good at it and very careful with it. She doesn’t go outside the lines – not even once. I am the opposite. I’m the girl who can’t wear red lipstick because I’ll forget about it and it ends up on the side of my face. She may have to start teaching me to be more careful.” -Nicole Richie on daughter, Harlow, 3, and she is starting that ‘makeup’ stage.

Nicole Richie was spotted leaving a gym in Los Angeles yesterday. I love how Nicole can even look going to the gym stylish. I know that my gym wear was always lacking. I  had yoga pants and a tshirt. I’m sure Nicole enjoyed the time away from the kids as she could spend time on her own.

Nicole has always been busy working on a dance inspired fitness video with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson. I would love to see it when it’s done.

Nicole Richie was spotted on the red carpet last night at the Art Of Elysium’s 4th Annual ‘Heaven’ Charity Gala at California Science Center’s Wallis Annenberg Building in Los Angeles. I think she looks great with her 20′s inspired hair style. I think if anyone could pull off a look like this it would have to be Nicole!

Nicole Richie, just newly married, is the February 2011 cover girl for Lucky magazine. How great does she look on this cover? In the magazine she talks about her new line, fashion and shopping. Here are the highlights:

On her new accessories line, House of Harlow 1960: “I don’t wear dainty jewelry. I like to be a little over the top.”

On her love of vintage shopping: “I really believe you can’t make a mistake with vintage. It’s all in how you wear it.”

On her fashion philosophy: “To me, fashion is about fun. I’ve always experimented. I dyed my hair purple, and I dyed my hair green, and I went through a Punky Brewster phase, a preppy phase, a goth phase, a girly phase, a grunge phase…I’m sure my style won’t stop here.”

On the number of vintage Chanel bags in her closet: “That’s not a fair question! Okay, 30, but I stole a lot of them from my mom!”

Christina Aguilera looks absolutely beautiful on the December 2010 issue of Redbook magazine. I can’t wait to see Christina hit the big screen in Burlesque. The trailer looks amazing! In the magazine she talks about the breakup of her marriage and what gets her out of bed in the morning: inspiring work, loyal girlfriends, and devotion to her little boy, Max. Here are the highlights to the interview:

On being a strong woman: “Every woman has the ability or the drive to do it all and have it all. Men aren’t as strong and capable as we are. We’re machines.”

On balancing work and motherhood: “My life is cyclical. First it’s album time, then it’s touring time. I go through phases, so we roll with the punches. I’m not a 9-to-5 woman who has the same kind of lifestyle for years on end. I couldn’t do it. I need the spontaneity, that thrill of change. That’s part of how I get inspired. You know, this is what the cards have in store for Max. We put it into his brain early on that he’s a traveling guy. He adapts well when we go from hotel to hotel.”

Christina’s close friend, Nicole Richie is a key member of her support system: “It’s very clear through Christina’s music what a strong woman she is,” Nicole told REDBOOK. “But to watch her as a mother only skyrockets the respect I have for her. She is the woman who’s recording until 4 a.m. and up at 7 to be with her son. Her dedication to Max is incredible.”
