Knocked Up Celebs

Nicole Richie has been everywhere lately. She has been busy promoting her new clothing line, Winter Kate. Recently she sat down with Ellen Degeneres and confirmed that she was in fact engaged to long time boyfriend, Joel Madden.

“I am [engaged]. We have been together about three and a half years.[No concrete plans] yet, but soon [we'll have a wedding date]. Yeah, it’s a big deal.”

I wonder if she is designing her own wedding dress? But it sounds like she hasn’t had much time to think about the wedding.

“Yeah, I’m actually not sure [about maids of honor] — I’ve been on the road. I just got home and so it’s really going to be, like, now that’s the time for me to sit down and think about what I want.”

She also just gave an update on how her son, Sparrow, is doing too.

“He is six months. He’s huge. He was almost eight pounds when he was born. [Harlow's] 22 pounds and she’s 2 and he’s 18 pounds and he’s 6 months — needless to say, I’m exhausted.”

I know my son almost weighs more than my daughter too even though there are seven years between them. I know what she is for sure talking about.

Nicole Richie looked beautiful on the red carpet last night at the 2010 Oscars held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. Her to-be husband, Joel Madden, was the acting DJ for the award ceremony. Earlier in the night he tweeted how he he was feeling about attending the event.

“And check out my date. Yes she’s mine. Feel like a winner. Feels like I won an oscar.”

Doesn’t every woman just wish their man would say that?

Nicole Richie and son, Sparrow, were in Paris yesterday. Nicole posted this picture in her blog of the two of them in front of the Eiffel Tower in her blog. It was labeled with the caption  ‘A Romantic Day In Paris’. I have never been to Paris but I imagine it would be a very romantic place.

Nicole is busy in Paris promoting her new line, Winter Kate. I know that she has me sold, especially for all the work that she has been doing in the promotion of it.

Nicole Richie has been flying everywhere getting out the word on her new fashion line, Winter Kate. This time she was presenting it at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, France on Wednesday (February 24th). The bride-to-be looked beautiful in her blue dress.

When Nicole arrived to Paris she tweeted a quick ‘bonjour’ but quickly followed up with this tweet.

“Them Parisians sho is klassy!”

There is something about those French people.

Nicole Richie had a chance to co-pilot a jet on her way to Montreal to promote her new fashion lines, Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960.

“It was so much fun!” Nicole wrote on her website. “Now if only everyone else on the flight felt the same way.”

By the time she got to Montreal it was cold but the fans made it all worthwhile for her.

“It’s important to me to do these in-stores because it gives me a chance to come face to face with everyone that has supported my dreams and get to thank them personally.”

It’s so nice when the celebrities are grateful for support they get. It makes it all worth it.

Everyone was excited when Nicole Richie and Joel Madden finally announced their engagement last week and now we get to hear that Nicole was the one that designed her ring. She worked closely with Neil Lane to get the perfect one.

“We designed it together. Nicole was lovely and wonderful to work with on it! She wanted a beautiful, special ring and wanted to be intimately involved in the design,” Lane said. “Joel just wanted her to have her dream ring.”

And I have to say that it is so beautiful. I have never seen anything like it.

Nicole Richie looked glamorous at the debut of her Spring 2010 collection of Winter Kate at Bloomingdale’s in
New York yesterday. I think that Nicole could get away with wearing anything and looking beautiful. (And check out the engagement ring, it’s so sparkly.)

Recently Nicole talked about how her priorities changed when she had kids.

“When you have the kids, everything changes doesn’t it? It sounds cheesy to say, but it does. Your whole life changes and your priorities change 100 per cent… in the best way possible.”

I agree with her 100% there. And she also shared that the ending of her childrens names, Harlow, who is 2, and Sparrow, who is 5 months, wasn’t intentional.

“I didn’t even realize that both of their names ended with ‘ow. I love the name Willow, and now that’s out because I’m not gonna have all kids with ‘ows!’”

“Joel and I have very different tastes in names. We really just have to work with whatever it is we both agree on, so I really liked Sparrow from Captain Jack Sparrow, and he liked it for different reasons.”

I always thought that Sparrow was such a cute name.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are finally engaged! They announcement came out last night when Nicole told David Letterman on his show Monday night.

Joel was quick to thank everyone on Twitter to confirm the engagement and to add that his family was wonderful.

Yep. i’m engaged. Very happy. Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same..

A beautiful Nicole Richie is covering the March 2010 issue of Marie Claire UK. I love her dark hair, it makes her look very sophisticated too. And that’s great for a busy mom like Nicole.

In the issue she talks about how she felt it was unfair when people say she has an eating disorder.

“I felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don’t. It’s extremely insulting and irresponsible. The only time it bothered me was when I was in a store trying on shoes and these girls came up to me — they were probably like 13 or 14 — and their mother came over, and she said, ‘Are you taking care of yourself, because my girls think that you’re not. That was upsetting.”

Nicole looks amazing for having two kids.

Nicole Richie looked great at the The Art of Elysium’s 3rd Annual Black Tie Charity Gala “Heaven” in Beverly Hills on Saturday night.

Last night, Nicole was part of the “How You Can Help” Haiti fundraiser on CNN. It raised 7 million dollars for the event. Other celebs that helped were Jennifer Lopez, Maria Bello and Jared Leto. I’m so happy to see all these celebs out to help.
