Knocked Up Celebs

Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, hit the Cop Out red carpet last night at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 in New York. The two of them have to be one of my favorite couples. Mark stars in the movie as Manuel.

Kelly recently told Redbook magazine that her date nights with Mark are the best:

“A date night for us is watching Top Chef. A date night for us is getting our kids asleep before 9:30! It’s really just about checking in, asking how the other person’s day is, and cuddling up. It doesn’t have to lead to anything, although it usually does. But it doesn’t have to.”

It shouldn’t matter what you do on a date, as long as you are with each other.

Kelly Ripa looks fabulous on the January 2010 cover of Redbook. Kelly is a busy mom, working on a morning talk show and taking care of her three children, Michael, Lola and Joaquin. She talks to the magazine about her marriage, body image and pet peeves, here are the highlights:

On her body image: “The first thing you learn when you put on borrowed clothes at a fashion shoot is that someone always has bigger boobs, a smaller waist and longer legs than you do. Actually, everyone has bigger boobs than I do!”

On date nights with Mark: “A date night for us is watching Top Chef. A date night for us is getting our kids asleep before 9:30! On fame: “I’m never recognized. We were doing the show in the Bahamas, and we were shooting in the hotel lobby, and it was [Live executive producer] Michael Gelman, Regis, and me standing there. A crowd gathered, and a woman said, “Oh, my God! It’s Gelman, it’s Regis!” and handed me her camera and asked me to take a picture of them. Then she said, ‘Where’s Kelly?’”

“You know, I love having three kids. Three kids is a great number. You never know, four is also a great number. Four legs on a chair, very stable. Although a tripod on a camera is very stable as well, some would say more stable. I don’t know. It’s up for negotiation.” -Mark Consuelos commenting if there would be more children for the family. He is father of Michael, 12, Lola, 8, and Joaquin, 6, with wife, Kelly Ripa.

Kelly Ripa was out in SoHo with her husband, Mark Consuelos, and sons, Michael, 12, and Joaquin, 6, yesterday. Her family is so beautiful.

This summer Kelly is working with Electrolux to fight ovarian cancer by giving a chance for people to open their own virtual lemonade stands.

This summer, exclusively at ElectroluxAppliances, people can design and open their own virtual lemonade stands and even pick the flavors of lemonade they want to feature from Sparkling Ginger to Rosemary Watermelon. For every stand opened, Electrolux will donate $1 to OCRF as part of its $500,000 commitment to help fight ovarian cancer. In addition, participants can help the cause even more by selling virtual glasses of lemonade to their friends and family. 100 percent of their proceeds will go to OCRF.

It only takes a couple of minutes to open your own lemonade stand and $1 goes ovarian cancer research even if you don’t end up raising money at your lemonade stand.  I tried to open my own lemonade stand but it’s only open to US residents. Have fun creating yours and every time someone donates you get entered into a draw for a refrigerator.

Kelly Ripa and two of her kids, Lola, 8, and Joaquin, 6, were spotted shopping in New York earlier today. It looks like Kelly bought a professional popcorn popper. I know that there is nothing like air popped popcorn. I went to the movie theatre last year and almost died from their popcorn because it was so good.

Kelly recently said that she was very grateful for the job she has in her life and that it lets her be able to still spend time with her family.

“I try my hardest at work and at home. I’m very lucky in that I have the best hours a person could hope for; I get to pick my kids up every day from school and take them to all their activities.”

Kelly shows that it’s possible to almost have it all, a great job, a great life, a great husband and great children. Her hard work sure shows off.

Kelly Ripa was seen spending time pool side with her two sons, Michael, 11, and Joaquin, 6, in Florida. Kelly is in Florida to tape four shows of Live with Regis and Kelly this week. It must be neat to be able to bring the kids with you when you go on location for work.
