Knocked Up Celebs

Jennifer Lopez looked fabulous at the 2010 CBS Films ShoWest luncheon held in Las Vegas yesterday.  Jennifer is starring in The Back-up Plan that hits theaters on April 23rd. I have seen almost everything imaginable about the movie and I admit that it looks really funny.

She’s also in talks to star in the remake of Overboard. If you can remember it’s about a rich woman that falls in love with a carpenter. Will Smith is producing the new version. I wonder if it would be just as good? I sometimes am not a huge fan of the remakes of films.

Jennifer Lopez has so many new projects coming up. The Back-up Plan that hits theaters in April and a new album, Love, which is expected sometime in the summer. She recently talked to OK! about how her life has become more private, how she juggles it all and being happy. Here are the highlights:

On her private life being a priority: I do have more of a private life now. That part of my life has changed. I just didn’t want to be that person anymore.

On being more relaxed now: I guess I am. You start out young and confident, thinking you want to be an actress and singer. Then you actually do it and it’s great for a while, but then you have all this success and other things start becoming more important.

On juggling it all: I think you have to know what is most important to you. And I think you have to realize that as much as you put into your relationship and your children — but more so. That’s how you balance it. For me, my family is the most important thing and everything else comes after that.

On being happy and content in her life now: As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that the harder things are, the better things are. Where you’re test, that’s where you get to the next level in your life. You do things because your gut tells you to do them; then they can never be wrong because they’re right for you, no matter how [things are] perceived. The important thing is that you did it and you did it in the best way you could.

Jennifer Lopez may seem like she is busy with twins, Max and Emme, and holding down a career to but she says sometime she would like to have more babies.

“I want more babies - definitely. But you can’t really plan your life. As much as you would like to and as much as you would like to say, ‘I want to do this then and that then and this by that time, it is all going to be perfect,’ that’s not life. That’s not how it is. You have to just be willing to go with what happens.”

That girl is so busy that thinking about her schedule makes me tired.

Jennifer Lopez has shown that it’s possible to be successful and a mother. Jennifer, who has twins, says that of all the things she could do, she couldn’t  be a single mother.

“I know a couple of people, both people I work with and friends, who have done it. I just don’t know if I could do this, honestly,” she says. “Now I know how much I rely on my partner. Knowing what single moms go through, I think it takes such an amazing person to do that. You get to a point in your life and you think about it, and I think it’s a beautiful thing to be able to find the strength to do that on your own.”

I know that I’ve been a single mom before. It isn’t easy at all. I find it hard enough when you have two people to help that when you are alone it’s a whole new ball game. At least Jennifer can admit that she couldn’t do it.

South Beach was busy yesterday with the celebrities coming out in full force for the DirecTV’s 4th annual Celebrity Beach Bowl. Jennifer Lopez was in attendance with other celebrities like Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz. Jennifer looked like she had fun cheering and running around with everyone else.

It still looks odd to me that everyone is on the beach in only t-shirts when there is snow and is cold here.

It has been revealed that Jennifer Lopez will be appearing on an episode of How I Met Your Mother. I love that show and how funny it is. Jennifer’s role will be that of Anita Appleby, a no-nonsense author of self-help books that teach women how to “”train” men in relationships through the power of denial.

This episode is scheduled to air in March.

Jennifer Lopez looked beautiful last night at the The Hotel Gansevoort in New York City. For the launch of Scott Barnes’ “About Face” book launch party at Provocateur.

Up next for Jennifer is The Back-up Plan hitting theaters  on April 16th. It also stars Alex O’Loughlin. It tells the story of a woman that decides to get pregnant but finds out she is in love with a guy during the process. I love romantic-comedies and this one looks like it will be a good one.

Jennifer Lopez is looks glamorous on the February 2010 cover of Elle magazine.  This busy mom has a new album and a movie coming out plus she has her twins, Max and Emme, could this woman do more? I think it would probably be a yes.  Here are some of the highlights from the issue:

On why she never considered in vitro fertilization, like her character in The Back-up Plan: “When it comes to family and relationships, I’m quite traditional. Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you don’t mess with things like that. And I guess deep down I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is. You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if it’s not, it’s not going to.”

On the merit of her romantic comedies: “I think Maid in Manhattan and Monster-in-Law are very layered movies. And that’s why they’re so successful. People don’t like shitty romantic comedies. Nothing that’s shitty is going to make $100 million.”

On hosting a dinner for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor: “She didn’t realize what she was going to symbolize. And it’s always scary to be thrown into it-that’s what I felt like when I did Selena. You’re thrown out there, and all of a sudden you’re not anonymous. You are now known. And that’s a lot to handle. It’s scary at first. Then you get used to it. And so she was in that moment of her life where it’s just like, What the hell? Everybody’s clapping for me. People are writing about me, talking about me, I’m on TV. She was just a judge in New York.”

On competing with twenty-something pop idols as a 40-year-old mom: “This is what I do–what, because I have kids and a husband now I’m not supposed to be me? I’m a more heightened me if anything. Hyper J.Lo. Everything I wanted before, I want twice as much now. And that doesn’t mean material things; it means to explore more, to think more. Being an artist doesn’t start because you’re 21, and it doesn’t end because you’re 51. You are who you are until the day you die.”

Jennifer Lopez and husband, Marc Anthony, were spotted on the Orange Carpet yesterday where they went to the Miami Dolphins vs Pittsburgh Steelers football game at the Land Shark Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Jennifer caused quite a stir on New Year’s Eve in the outfit she was wearing, a catsuit. I  was still on the fence with it thinking that she looked great for having twins.

Jennifer Lopez is still trying to find the balance between work and family since having her twins, Max and Emme,  almost two years ago.

“For anybody who has children, your priorities change as a mom. You just have to…always work everything around their happiness…and their well-being.”

And will the twins come with her on tour?

“Sometimes we have them in the studio, sometimes I’m just like, ‘Let me go in really quick and get back home really quick,’ but it’s always with them in mind.”

I think it would be neat to take the kids with. But I have my kids with me every day at work anyways.
