It’s been a long time since we have seen Jamie Lynn Spears. She was spotted at LAX on Friday with her mom and daughter, Maddie.

This was before she rushed to be with Casey Aldridge after he was in a car accident. Casey ended up being charged with a misdemeanor for careless operation of a vehicle. Latest reports say that he might have been removed from the ICU yesterday from the head injury he sustained in the accident. I am glad that he has Jamie Lynn and Maddie for support for him.

Jamie Lynn Spears has seemed to disappear and we haven’t seen much of her lately. She has been taking care of her daughter, Maddie, and is quite content being a mom and staying out of the spotlight.

[A source says,] “She feels that part of her life is over. Jamie Lynn enjoyed every minute of doing Zoey, but since she’s had Maddie, her life has changed completely. She’s happy being a real hands-on Southern mother and hopes to continue that for years to come with Casey [Aldridge] right by her side. Jamie Lynn knows she needs to make a living when she grows older, so she’s already discussing her career options with advisers. She wants Maddie to grow up in comfort.”

I think that she has decided to make a good thing out of a bad decision. I’m rooting for her to succeed.

Jamie Lynn Spears was seen with her daughter, Maddie, in Mississippi Saturday catching up on a bit of shopping.

Jamie recently said that she wants to get her business degree…

“I want to get my business degree. I could take online courses right now, but with Maddie being so young, it’s hard to sit down and focus. I do want to go to college and get my degree.”

I know that I did my Journalism diploma through correspondence, I started when my daughter was four months old and ended it just before my son was born six years later. It can be done and I hope that Jamie goes through with it.

Britney Spears sure had a great birthday party for the kids. There have been pictures being released all week from the party. These are the cutest I have seen so far. Sean Preston Federline sneaked in a kiss to his cousin, Maddie. How cute is that!

Also the boys, Sean Preston and Jayden, got a chance to ride around on their new toys. They look happy, healthy and cute.

The Spears clan was together this weekend for Sean Preston and Jayden James’ birthday, and a party that mom, Britney Spears threw for them. Also there was sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and baby, Maddie, and grandmother, Lynne Spears.

Lynne got to spend some one on one time with Maddie when this picture was taken. How sweet is it? Maddie looks like she’s grown so much already.

How did Jamie Lynn come up with Maddie’s name?

Maddie’s middle name Briann is an ode to Casey’s cousin Brian, who died in a car accident a week before her birth, and Jamie Lynn’s brother Bryan. As for her first name, dad gets all the credit. “Maddie is a name that Casey thought of, and I really liked it,” Jamie Lynn says.

Jamie Lynn Spears and her daughter, Maddie Briann, make their debut in OK! Magazine this week. These are the first official pictures because a couple of days after these were released the MySpace account was deleted.

Here are some details she shared about the delivery and the baby:

On the delivery: They’d told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed.

On what happened in the delivery room: Once I got in there, my doctor was just so calm and so good it was not bad at all…I was just talking to Casey. And you know what’s so weird? I was asking him if he was okay. He was like, ‘Yeah.’ We were both so excited.

On Maddie: She is very good. She’ll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I’ll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There’s no screaming and crying. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I’ve worked one out with her, and we’re happy going about our little life.
