Congratulations to model Peaches Geldof, who has given birth to her first child.  She announced the birth of her son, Astala Dylan Willow Cohen-Geldof, on Twitter on April 21st.

Yes, its true- I’M A MUMMY!!!!

Referencing Astala’s father, Geldof’s fiance Tom Cohen, she continued:

My little boy is the most beautiful thing in this world. When he holds@tomfromscum’s finger with his hand its the sweetest thing ever. X

Cohen Tweeted his own happy update:

im a dad he is the most perfect thing ever so proud of his beautiful mum @peaches_g and overcome with joy x

Awwww.  Nothing like the emotions of a new dad.

Congratulations to country singer Mindy McCready and her boyfriend David Wilson. The couple welcomed a son named Zayne on April 9th.

“Zayne is truly a blessing and a joy. It was a long and trying pregnancy; we’re so happy he’s here. There are no words to convey how happy we are.”

McCready had been rumored to be carrying twins, and blamed the confusion on “a misinterpreted sonogram” and “in consideration of her size.”

The singer made news last year when she disappeared from Florida with her older son, Zander (6).   They were found a few days later in Arkansas.

 There’s a new little quarterback in town!  Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and his wife Candice Crawford welcomed their first child, a son, on April 9th.

Romo’s team were the first to announce the arrival of Hawkins Crawford Romo, initially on Twitter and then through spokesperson Rich Dalrymple:

“Hawkins Crawford Romo is now a part of the Dallas Cowboys family.  He came into this world on 4/9/12 at 5:30 p.m. Eight pounds and eight ounces.  All is well with mom.”

Crawford and Romo were married last May, so they clearly didn’t waste any time getting down to business.  She is a former Miss Missouri and was a reporter for KDAF in Dallas.   She is the sister of Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, who was reportedly present at the hospital for his nephew’s birth.  Aww…

 Congratulations are in order for It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia stars Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney!  The couple welcomed their second child, a son, on April 5th.

Leo Grey McElhenney was born at home in Los Angeles, just like his big brother Axel (19 mo.).  Leo weighed a healthy 8 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 20 inches at birth.

In addition to her work on Sunny, Olson is currently voicing two characters on the FX animated show Unsupervised.  Meanwhile, McElhenney père is working on a new pilot for Fox, Living Loaded.

(So seriously, what is going on on the Sunny set?  Nearly everyone on that show is either pregnant or has given birth or has impregnated someone recently.  Glenn Howerton and Jill Latiano,  Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis  and David Hornsby and Emily Deschanel all had babies late in 2011.   Danny DeVito may be the only main character left who hasn’t yet procreated… and if he manages to get wife Rhea Perlman pregnant at age 64, well, that really would be an Easter miracle.)

Congratulations to Supernatural‘s Jared Padalecki!  His wife Genevieve Cortese gave birth to their first child, a son, on March 19.

Thomas Colton Padalecki was born weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz.

His parents used his arrival to promote a good cause:  in lieu of gifts, they asked fans to donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  They also agreed to match every dollar raised.  Padalecki recently Tweeted about the success of the campaign.

WOW! Y’all raised $40,256 for @StJude !! Gen and I, as promised, have HAPPILY matched it y’all are truly amazing!

Thank you to everyone who donated! Genevieve and I are truly inspired and awestruck by your generosity. In five short months, $80,000 has gone to families and children in need. Thank you for helping Thomas Colton Padalecki come into this world with such a positive impact!!

Hilary Duff was just willing her baby to hurry up a few days ago, and it appears he paid attention!    Hilary gave birth to her son, Luca Cruz Comrie, on March 20.

She announced his arrival on Twitter:

“Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy.

We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world.  He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well.”

Back in December, Hilary described her son’s nursery as “really cute,” decorated with flying pigs and clouds.   Hope he enjoys it now that he’s here!  Congratulations to the family.

Congratulations are in order for Jeremy Sisto and Addie Lane!   The pair welcomed their second child, a son, on March 9th.  Sisto shared the news on Twitter:

Just bought a teddy bear to give to my daughter “from” her new-born brother. considering drizzling some placenta on it for believability.

A few days later, he updated his followers:

Unnamed boy is healthy as is mom. Thanks for your wishes.

Given the unconventional name they gave their daughter – Charlie-Ballerina (2 1/2), a name picked by looking through the dictionary for “words that were not normally names” – fans were wondering what was in store for their son.    Sisto and Lane did not disappoint:  they’ve named their new little one Bastian Kick Sisto.

Congratulations to James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly.  The couple welcomed their second child, a boy, on Tuesday, March 14th.

The proud dad Tweeted the happy news:

Had my first son this morning… well, actually, my wife had him. I just caught him. Wow. Heart expanding way faster than my brain…

Big sister Olivia is 17 months old.

The couple have not yet revealed their new son’s name.

We finally know who was inside that huge baby bump that Jennifer Garner‘s been hauling around with her!  Her husband Ben Affleck announced that Jen has given birth to a baby boy.

Samuel Garner Affleck was born on February 27.  He joins big sisters Violet (6) and Seraphina (3).   Now Daddy’s not QUITE as outnumbered by women in the house!

Congratulations to country singer Jo Dee Messina!  She and her husband Chris Deffenbaugh welcomed a baby boy on January 11th.

Born in Nashville and weighing 6 lbs. 13 oz., Jonah Christopher is the couple’s second son, joining big brother Noah Roger (3).

On Wednesday, Messina wrote on her blog that little Jonah was admitted to the hospital earlier this week with jaundice.  Hopefully he’s doing better now!
