Gwen Stefani

Kingston Rossdale joined his mom Gwen Stefani for a run to the store this weekend.   They hit up Bristol Farms in Beverly Hills for a cartload of stuff.    So fashionable, even just to go grocery shopping; then again, do we expect anything less from this family?

Kingston is really growing up – he’s starting to look less like a little boy and more like a little man.

Gwen Stefani On Harajuku Mini: “I’m Bringing Fashion To Kids”

November 18th, 2011 Cordelia Carey Posted in Celebrity Moms, Children's Fashion, Gwen Stefani No Comments »

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani‘s kids’ collection for Target, Harajuku Mini, made its grand debut last weekend, and she’s thrilled.  She dished to Access Hollywood about her new project.

On keeping the collection affordable: “I really wanted to do this so bad. Being able to make stuff for the right price point and get it out there so people can actually have access to it. This is like the ideal situation to have. It’s really exciting.  I think that moms are going to walk into Target and lose their minds– ‘Are you serious right now? And it’s $20? All right, I’m taking five.’”

On the inspiration behind Harajuku Mini: “I wanted it to look like all of my signature looks that I’ve done through the years, kind of for children. I wanted to bring fashion to kids.”

On achieving a long-time goal: “I feel really proud of it. It’s fun to be creative. It’s fun to bake the cookies and have everyone eat them. It’s a great feeling.”

Ali Larter

Ali Larter and her son Teddy (10 mo.) were spotted at the launch party for Harajuku Mini – Gwen Stefani’s new line of children’s clothes for Target.

Teddy is so cute!  Babies at that age are so soft and squishy and cuddly.  He’s growing up quickly, though:  Larter recently shared that he said his first word.  It was “mama,” of course.

Gwen Stefani: “I’m Enjoying My Boys Before They’re Too Big To Cuddle”

Gwen Stefani

Supermom Gwen Stefani is on the cover of InStyle‘s November 2011 issue!  Her Harajuku Mini collection for Target is about to launch in a couple of weeks, so it’s only natural that she’s talking fashion.  Stefani also talks about family, namely her two sons with hubby Gavin Rossdale, Kingston and Zuma.   Here’s a few highlights from her interview:

On the necessity of certain fashion sacrifices: “When you have two little boys, you have to play outside. There’s no way around it.  If we’re at the park, I try not to wear heels. The kids are so gigantic, it would be painful.  I always bring back-up shoes!”

On Kingston and Zuma’s fashion sense: “I like them to be creative and have fun. I’d love to be part of it — don’t get me wrong.  Sometimes they’ll get dressed and it’s horrifying. But they often come out in outfits that are awesome.”

On balancing work and parenting (hint:  the key is working from home): “I love having a job where I can be in my office and look out the window and see my kids playing.  The thing I’d like to do is enjoy these boys while they’re young — so I don’t regret I was working too much when they’re big and don’t want to cuddle with me anymore.”

Harajuku Mini hits Target in stores and online on November 13.

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale spent a fun afternoon at Malibu beach with their sons, Zuma Rossdale and Kingston Rossdale.   This family always has so much fun together!  They built sandcastles and played in the surf, and both Gwen and Gavin showed their abs off to the sun. What a great day!

Kawaii! Gwen Stefani And Target To Launch Harajuku Mini

July 20th, 2011 Cordelia Carey Posted in Children's Fashion, Gwen Stefani No Comments »

Gwen Stefani And Kingston Rossdale

Want to dress your baby or child in some wicked Harajuku style?  Now you can, without traveling to Japan or breaking the bank.  Gwen Stefani has announced that she is partnering with Target to present a children’s collection called Harajuku Mini.

Launching in stores and online on November 13 (just in time for the Christmas season), Harajuku Mini will feature items for boys and girls, aged baby through tween, priced between $3.99-$29.99.

Gwen is excited about the project.  She said:

“Harajuku Mini is a dream come true.   I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan.

“Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices.

“[It's] about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed.”

Awesome.  With a son and a daughter in the Harajuku Mini age range, I now know where I’m going to be on November 13!

Gwen Stefani Talks Being Vain To Elle

April 6th, 2011 Taylor Blue Posted in Gwen Stefani No Comments »

Gwen Stefani looks glamorous on the May 2011 cover of Elle magazine that hits newsstands on April 12. I think that Gwen always looks fantastic. Gwen in the magazine talks marriage, being vain and music. Here are the highlights:

On writing hits: “I do! Why wouldn’t you want that many people listening to the songs that you wrote? There’s no way to go back after you have had it. So the intentions of even the solo records were always about trying to write those guilty-pleasure albums that just get in your head and you can’t get out. I’m not cool, I’m not into the B-sides. Prince, who is one of my idols, gave me some advice when I worked with him: “Have you ever just tried writing a hit? Like, don’t just try writing a song, try and write a hit song.” I remember him saying that and me thinking, Yeah, you’re right. Why would you write anything else?”

On her marriage to Gavin Rosdale: “The first time we ever kissed was right around Valentine’s Day—we were in New Orleans on tour. So, yeah, I always think about that because it’s unbelievable that we’ve been able to stay together. I feel so proud of us—it’s one of my biggest achievements.”

On performing while pregnant: “It was horrible. Certain songs would make me want to puke. You feel pretty gross when you are first pregnant. You don’t feel cute, you feel disgusting. You’re getting fat. It was hard.”

On her appearance: “I mean, I’m very vain. That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love the visual.”

On whether Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry have taken a page out of her playbook when it comes to style: “Really? I don’t see myself in those girls. I usually put pants on. I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there’s going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing.”

On pop music: “When we were growing up, some of the hits were legendary ones that you hear your whole life. But certain songs, I don’t know if you’ll ever hear them again. Because that’s what that music is, like a guilty pleasure, it’s right at the moment. It’s like fashion—it’s now, then it’s gone.”

Gwen Stefani Gets Some Family Time

March 29th, 2011 Taylor Blue Posted in Celebrity Dads, Celebrity Kids, Gwen Stefani No Comments »

Gwen Stefani and husband, Gavin Rossdale, took  sons, Kingston and Zuma to the California Museum of Science in LA on Saturday. Last week, Gwen donated a million dollars to Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund to help in the relief and recovery effort in Japan.

“I’ve been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture,” Stefani said. “The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years.”

That must been very helpful for them. I love when celebrities use their fame to do something good like that.

Gwen Stefani Walks The Catwalk With Kingston

February 18th, 2011 Taylor Blue Posted in Celebrity Kids, Gwen Stefani 1 Comment »

Gwen Stefani walked with son, Kingston, on the catwalk her L.A.M.B. Fall 2011 fashion show yesterday in New York. It looks like Kingston is used to this already! It would be need to be able to walk the catwalk with your mom! At the show Gwen revealed her plans for her new album:

“We’ve been doing a record all year; 10 songs have been recorded. When this is done I’ll go probably write a few more songs. I don’t know when it’ll come out, but you never know what can happen. I sang on three of them. One of them I might not re-sing. My band takes a weird process as well. It takes so long. And all of them just had babies, so it’ll be a while.”

I’m sure everyone is excited about a new No Doubt album.
