Angelina Jolie’s Doctor Assures Everything Is Okay

Angelina Jolie’s obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, held a press conference today in France to update everyone on Angelina’s condition…

“Everything is normal,” the obstetrician said in French, as he also said in English, “She is very well, and she’s okay.”

“It is simply a visit of surveillance, no birth,” Sussmann said of his patient, who entered the hospital over the weekend. “Brad and Angie want everyone to know that everything is going well.”

Saying that Jolie’s “very, very nice,” the doctor added, “She will stay in the hospital until the birth. I will stay with her.”

I still can’t get over the thought of a press conference for a person but at least we know where they stand.

Angelina Jolie Has Been Admitted Into The Hospital

July 1st, 2008 Taylor Blue Posted in Angelina Jolie, Baby News, Brad Pitt, Celebrity Kids, Expecting, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, Twins No Comments »

It is being reported by the Associated Press that Angelina Jolie has been admitted into a hospital in France.

Angelina Jolie has checked into a hospital in the south of France where she is expected to give birth to her twins, a hospital spokesman said Tuesday.

Nadine Bauer, press attache for the Lenval Hospital in Nice, said Jolie is fine and that everything is going well. She said Jolie’s admittance to the maternity wing had been planned for some time.

Bauer said the 33-year-old actress will almost certainly remain in the hospital until she gives birth. She said Jolie was admitted so she could be kept under normal surveillance - and is not expected to give birth immediately.

“There’s no urgency. It’s been planned for a long time,” she said. “She’s very well. Everything is fine.”

This will be the fifth and sixth child for Brad Pitt and Angelina. Their other children are Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2.

Mom Celeb Quote: Angelina Jolie

June 18th, 2008 Taylor Blue Posted in Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Expecting, Mom Celeb Quote No Comments »

“Yeah, it’s not the thing you love the most. I love being a mom and I do love traveling and the work I get to do with children in the field and with refugees. Brad and I take turns working. So instead of it being ‘I get to work next,’ it’s ‘You have to work next, because it’s your turn. I’m staying home with the kids.’”-Angelina Jolie talking about compromise in working with boyfriend, Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt has been chosen as the best of Hollywood’s Dads. The list was compiled by AOL. This is what they said about Hollywood’s Best Dad…

“The number one Hollywood dad is a no-brainer. Brad’s found his sexiest incarnation yet as a do-gooder global traveler who is a full-time father to Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2. And when the twins he and Angelina Jolie are expecting arrive, that dream of his own soccer team is within reach!”

Here is the full list:

1. Brad Pitt
2. David Beckham
3. Johnny Depp
4. Will Smith
5. Matt Damon
6. Ryan Phillippe
7. Ben Affleck
8. Joel Madden
9. Seal
10. Patrick Dempsey
11. Barack Obama
12. Gavin Rossdale
13. Tom Cruise
14. Tobey Maguire
15. Mark Consuelos

Do you agree with their choices? I think I would have like to see Ryan Phillippe closer to the top.

Angelina Jolie Didn’t Expect To Be Pregnant With Twins

June 12th, 2008 Taylor Blue Posted in Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Celebrity Kids, Expecting, Twins No Comments »

Angelina Jolie says that finding out they were having twins was a shock.

“We weren’t expecting twins,” Jolie, 33, [says] “So it did shock us, and we jumped to six [children] quickly. But we like a challenge.”

With a house full of kids, Jolie says she needs help – so it’s a good thing there’s family around to pitch in. “[Brad's] mom and dad are on standby to come out and help,” she says.

I bet Christmas time at their house is a lot of fun!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Are Getting Ready For The Twins

June 9th, 2008 Taylor Blue Posted in Angelina Jolie, Baby Bumps, Brad Pitt, Celebrity Kids, Expecting, Twins No Comments »

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are getting their Los Angeles mansion ready for the twins due to arrive soon.

With the help of baby boutique Petit Tresor, the erstwhile Mr. and Mrs. Smith have created a $140,000 nursery that puts J.Lo and Marc Anthony’s baby haven to shame. Team Jolie-Pitt bought organza bassinets ($800), Versailles-style cribs ($3,200) with matching changing tables ($2,800), armoires ($4,500) and silk gliders. They even installed two pink crystal chandeliers for the girls at a cost of $899 each. But the couple bought basics, too, like loads of oh-so-practical cashmere baby toys. We also hear it took a team of three people from the store to assemble the nursery. A couple from Dubai has already called the boutique asking for an identical copy of the Jolie-Pitt nursery.

I’m not sure why they need this nursery if they are planning to stay in France. But it seems nice!

Brad Pitt And Maddox At The Races

June 2nd, 2008 Taylor Blue Posted in Brad Pitt, Celebrity Kids No Comments »

Brad Pitt and Maddox went to Italy to watch the Grand Prix on Sunday.

“Brad wanted to go and Maddox was really excited after watching the Monaco Grand Prix the week before on television,” a source [says].

“They wanted to go to the Monaco Grand Prix together, but it was so rainy that they canceled at the last minute. They both had a great time and they met Valentino Rossi after he won. During the race, Brad gave Maddox a pair of sunglasses to protect his eyes and earplugs to protect his ears,” says our insider.

“But one of the mechanics in the pit lane that they met gave Maddox a pair of professional ear protectors to wear, so he was really happy with that.”

That is so cute that Brad and Maddox got to spend some time together alone.

Angelina Jolie Covers Vanity Fair

May 31st, 2008 Taylor Blue Posted in Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Celebrity Kids, Expecting 1 Comment »

Angelina Jolie covers the July 2008 issue of Vanity Fair. It is really obvious that she is pregnant for this one! In the interview she did with Vanity Fair she covered feelings about her life, Brad Pitt, and the kids. Here are some highlights:

Angelina Jolie on being pregnant:
“I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depend-ing on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”

Angelina Jolie on her international family:
“When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I was aware there were kids that didn’t have parents. It’s not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it as a sacrifice. It’s a gift. We’re all lucky to have each other. I look at Shiloh—because, obviously, physically, she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were little—and say, ‘If these were our brothers and sisters, how much would we have known by the time we were six that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished I had.”

Angelina Jolie on Shiloh’s birth:
“We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.”

Angelina Jolie on nannies:
“We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher—wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Bel-gium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”

Angelina Jolie on artists as parents:
“Artists raise their kids differently,” she said. “We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”
