Ashlee Simpson and husband, Pete Wentz, went out to a party to celebrate the 4th of July early. He got drunk off of water and pretended to stumble around for the cameras. Ashlee’s due date is in the fall but I keep wondering if when Pete let is slip that the baby was a “they” if he wasn’t right. She looks so huge already for her first baby.

Keith Urban has bought a surprise for his wife, Nicole Kidman, to give to her after she has their baby. Nicole is due sometime in the beginning of July and Keith wants it to be extra special. It’s always nice when men buy things for their wives saying, “Thanks for having my baby.”

“It’s three rings intertwined, so it’s very symbolic,” the insider says of the popular design, which is set with multi-colored pavé diamonds and is meant to represent the three stages of a relationship: yellow gold for friendship, rose gold for love and white gold for fidelity.

“It’s three turned into one and that’s how it will be with Keith, Nicole and the new baby,” notes the insider. Cameron Diaz owns the same ring, as does Katie Holmes, who received hers for Mother’s Day. The Trinity ring was created by Cartier in 1924 and is still one of its most recognized designs today.

Are Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz having a boy? A rep from the store, Petit Tresor, says so.

The couple, who married in May, filled out a registry for their baby in June and our source says, “almost everything is blue.”

A salesperson who helped the couple said, “They [Simpson and Wentz] made it very clear that it was a boy.”

On June 30, the rocker couple bought a few T-shirts and bibs from Plain Mary with the words, “Hunk,” “Loved” and “Yummy” emblazoned on the front. The shirts retail for $28 and the bibs for $18.

Simpson and Wentz will visit the baby boutique next week to discuss the nursery, our source confirms.

Simpson’s rep did not immediately return our call for comment.

People have been wrong before…so we will have to wait for a confirmation or until she is born to get down to the bottom of this rumor.

Minnie Driver isn’t due until August but she is already vowing the baby’s father will be involved in their lives…

“I’m just unorthodox. I’m taking full responsibility for being a mother but he will still play some part. I’m not married and I’m not getting married to this person. So I don’t know what’s going to happen. I sort of just take it moment by moment. Everyone’s grown up, everyone is cool. You just want to create as happy and loving an environment as you can.”

I think that’s awesome…kids need a dad around…no matter which way it comes.

Gwen Stefani chills out with husband, Gavin Rossdale, and son, Kingston, Thursday at a London park.

A source is quoted by gossip website absolutenow.com as saying: “Gwen and Gavin feel it is important that Kingston does not feel left out before or after his new baby brother or sister is born. They want him to help them choose his sibling’s name so they are asking him what he thinks. They have come up with a few suggestions so far.”

I think that it is so nice when parents let their other children pick out names too.

These helicopter shots will never make me feel comfortable but it does the job for now. These pictures were taken on June 22 and shows that Angelina Jolie is still pregnant.

In Touch is reporting that she is on bed rest and the due date of the twins has been changed to July 15.
