Knocked Up Celebs

It was a Simpson family affair in Toronto last weekend!  Ashlee Simpson and her son Bronx Wentz (3) were on hand to help sister and aunt Jessica Simpson promote her clothing line at The Bay Store.

It was Ashlee’s last weekend as a married woman:  her divorce from Pete Wentz was finalized on Wednesday.

Ashlee Simpson, in her first public appearance since the announcement of the divorce from Pete Wentz, was spotted with son, Bronx, 2, at the Milk + Bookies 2nd Annual Story Time Celebration held At The Skirball Cultural Center In Los Angeles, California.

Despite the custody battle that Ashlee and Pete are having Pete maintains that they are still friends.

“Ashlee’s been my best friend for five years. She’s the mother of my child. I have nothing but love and respect for her. Going through something like this isn’t easy but we’re friends and the most important thing is to put our son first.”

And I know that it’s way easier if you are friends.

It seems like break-ups are becoming really common these days. But this one surprised me.  Ashlee Simpson has filed for a divorce from husband, Pete Wentz, after three years of marriage. She filed the papers in Los Angeles courthouse yesterday.

“After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.”

She wrote down irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, and for the date of separation was “to be determined”. I didn’t see this one coming. I always thought they were the perfect couple.

There is one thing that I really love about the holidays…and that’s the family pictures. Ashlee Simpson and husband, Pete Wentz, took son, Bronx, to the Old Navy Awkward Holiday Mobile booth where they got this picture taken.

It’s crazy how exactly alike Bronx looks to his dad! They are carbon copies.

Ashlee Simpson was spotted heading to the salon to meet up with Nicole Richie (who is getting married this weekend) in Los Angeles yesterday. Ashlee looks like she has lost a lot of weight and her hair is so short now.

While Ashlee was at the salon husband, Pete Wentz, took son, Bronx, to the studio with him. I bet they had some good father/son time there!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband, Pete Wentz, were spotted leaving there hotel in New York City on Friday with son, Bronx, 1. They are in New York for Fashion Week. It’s always an exciting time!

During the fashion show she was at on Thursday she admitted that her fourth studio album is on it’s way.

“I’m not in a rush. I’m loving being a mom, but I’m excited to get back out there. I’m loving where my record is going. It’s not a super rush, but I do want to get it out for my fans.”

I have been a fan of Ashlee’s music. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

Ashlee Simpson and husband, Pete Wentz, were spotted out and about with son, Bronx, in Van Nuys. They had spent the day shopping. I can’t think of a better way to spend the day than that.

Except I remember trying to get my son to go with me all day. He would cry and whine the whole time.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, and husband, Pete Wentz, were seen leaving for a party with a family friend and their son, Bronx, 1, on Saturday.  I love that little Bronx is wearing a Sex Pistols t-shirt. But you know that with a rocker dad like Pete there is bound to be some cool music going on in that house.

It must be interesting to have both parents that are musicians. I wonder how musically inclined Bronx is then?

Ashlee Simpson was seen earlier today leaving the Ken Paves salon  in Los Angeles after leaving the Makeover Madness event that helped kids with Cancer.

Ashlee tweeted from the event saying: “come check the makeover madness rally for kids with cancer at the Ken Paves Salon today! I’m here and its fab!”

It looks like she had a lot of fun!

Ashlee Simpson was seen leaving an office building in Beverly Hills yesterday. She must be busy working on something.

Recently she talked about how much her son, Bronx, was growing and how much time they spend together.

“We’re together all the time. Bronx is definitely finding himself, and he’s getting his own personality, so hide-and-seek, and new little things. He does sign language, so that’s been fun.”

I love the little games babies play. They are so cute at that age!
