Alyson Hannigan is getting ready to have baby #2 this summer, and she’s planning to do it the same way she had her adorable first child, Satyana:  at home.    She recently told Celebrity Baby Scoop about her plans and the criticism she has received for choosing a home birth:

“[Home birth ]is the plan. Hopefully all will go well. And yes, we had lots of comments about it. And we had the doctor that scared us tremendously. There was definitely more concern the first time around. For me, that was just the perfect place. I am absolutely terrified of hospitals. so I think that the home is the best place for me to feel comfortable. I had a midwife, her assistant and a doula. It will be the same again this time.”

I think anyone who chooses home birth is really brave!  I wanted the option of drugs when I had my daughter!

Alyson recently teamed up with Pull-Ups training pants to promote The Potty Dance toilet training campaign.   Man, I hate those commercials.   And now the song is stuck in my head…. aaahhhh……

Too much carnival food, eh, Alyson?

Despite her protestations back in September after she was spotted with a little belly pooch, How I Met Your Mother‘s Alyson Hannigan will be giving her daughter Satyana a new brother or sister.

Hannigan’s rep confirmed the happy news to People.   No word on how far along she is at this point, but we’ll keep you posted!

Another day, another adorable photo of the Hannigan-Denisof family.  (Do you get tired of them?  I don’t!) Dad Alexis Denisof, mom Alyson Hannigan and the ever-cuter Satyana Denisof were snapped while out shopping in Brentwood.

As you know if you’ve been on the internet at all in the last several months, Alyson is the current face of Head & Shoulders.   With her help, the hair product company has just released an e-book for women, The Good Girlfriend Guide.  It’s sort of a manual full of “positive girlfriend-to-girlfriend advice tackling everything from beauty faux pas to relationship hang-ups.”

The book is composed of tips submitted by real women mixed with expert opinions from celebrity stylists, makeup artists and more.  Alyson helped compile the real-world advice.  She said:

“I was blown away by the great girlfriend advice and tips pouring in from across the country.  It’s amazing to see how enthusiastic and eager women are to help one another.”

The Good Girlfriend Guide is available exclusively for the NOOK e-reader at Barnes & Noble.com for just $0.99.  All proceeds will benefit Women’s Empowerment, a nonprofit helping homeless women.

Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof were spotted out in Santa Monica with their daughter Satyana.   These guys are like the cutest family ever!

Denisof just finished filming a new project with an old partner:  he’s starring in Joss Whedon‘s adaptation of William Shakespeare‘s Much Ado About Nothing.

Alyson Hannigan was photographed this weekend leaving the Malibu Kiwanis Chili Cook Off, Carnival and Fair with husband Alexis Denisof, daughter Satyana, a goldfish and a little belly pooch.   After the internet went crazy with pregnancy rumors, she Tweeted her firm denial of a new (human) addition to the Denisof family.  While she does concede that it might appear that way (“I do LOOK pregnant in that photo!”), Alyson says:

“NO, I’m not pregnant! I just ate too much carnival food, that time of the month, hurt my back & couldn’t suck my gut in, & need 2 do cardio!”

And just in case you didn’t get the message:

“And I’m NEVER gonna wear that shirt again!!!”

Does the lady protest too much?

Seriously, though, I think a girl should be allowed to eat as many funnel cakes and corn dogs as she wants without worrying about the paps catching the visual evidence on her way to her car.   On the other hand, another little Alyson-Alexis genetic mix would be cute….

Angel alums Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof were spotted doing a little grocery shopping at Ralph’s this weekend.  They had their daughter Satyana (2) in tow, and she just keeps getting cuter and cuter all the time.

Can I tell you how much I love these photos?   I love that the Hannigan-Denisofs do their own grocery shopping, and that they shop at Ralph’s, like normal people do.    They’re just too cute.

(It doesn’t hurt that as I write this, I’m watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer reruns on Chiller, either. Kismet!)

How I Met Your Mother‘s Alyson Hannigan will soon bring some of her real-life experience as a mom to her small screen role.   Her character, Lily, and husband Marshall (Jason Segel) are expecting a baby this coming season.

Fans of the show will know that nothing ever goes quite as expected with Lily and Marshall, and Alyson agrees.  She told Parade: “I’m sure the pregnancy will be hilarious. It won’t be a smooth, easy transition. They’ll have lots of blunders along the road… I’m really happy we get to have that as a storyline this season.”

On balancing work with parenting: “That’s a tricky one. You have to look at the overall picture. When I’m sitting at work, I feel guilty that I’m not taking care of my daughter. But the fact that I’m working in the morning means that she and I will have the afternoon together. So, you just have to look at the overall picture rather than the day-to-day.”

On looking great with limited time to get glam: “If you only have time for makeup or hair, definitely choose the hair because you can always put on a pair of sunglasses and push the hair into your face and you’ll look very chic. My vanity time has gone out the window since I became a mom, so that’s a great time-saving trick.”

In addition to her work with HIMYM, Alyson is currently filming American Reunion, the fourth installment in the American Pie franchise.   It’s due out in theaters in Spring 2012.

Alyson Hannigan, from How I Met Your Mother, was spotted with husband, Alexis Denisof, and daughter, Satyana, going out to a private Halloween party yesterday in Los Angeles.

Alyson was dressed as Raggedy Ann, Alexis as a wooden soldier and Satyana as a monkey. I am loving Satyana’s monkey costume. I want one of those for me!

Alyson Hannigan was spotted with daughter, Satyana, outside their Malibu beach house. It is being said that they plan on spending most of their summer on the beach. I can’t believe how much Satyana has grown since we last saw her. I hope we’ll get a chance to see the both of them looking cute all summer!

Alyson Hannigan was out yesterday with her husband, Alexis Denisof, and fellow birthday girl, Satyana, as they spent the day out for their birthday. It must be neat to share your birthday with one of your kids. And when you get older it’s always exciting to think of others birthdays instead of your own.

Recently Alyson shared with Celebrity Baby Scoop on how motherhood has changed her.

“It’s changed me in every way because my life is so much greater. It filled a void I never knew was there—it’s the most amazing experience of my life. I just feel so blessed to get to be on this journey—to be a mommy. She is just the greatest baby.”
