Tragedy: Gary Barlow’s Fourth Child Stillborn
Take That frontman Gary Barlow announced very sad news yesterday. His wife Dawn delivered their fourth child, Poppy, stillborn on August 4.
The singer, who is also the lead judge on The X Factor, made this statement:
“Dawn and I are devastated to announce that we’ve lost our baby…Our focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts. We’d ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected.”
The Barlows have three other children: Daniel (11), Emily (10) and Daisy (3).
Take That is one of Britain’s most popular modern bands, dominating the charts in the 1990s. In 2010, they became Amazon’s top selling artist, beating out even Michael Jackson and their compatriots The Beatles. The band was scheduled to perform in the London Olympics closing ceremonies this Sunday, but Barlow’s attendance is now uncertain.
