When you are pregnant you always think about how you want your pregnancy to go. And then you think about the labor and how the dream scenario might be. But sometimes Mother Nature has other plans. Laila Ali opened up recently about the problems she had while she was pregnant with her son, CJ. She had planned on a home birth but at five months the baby had become restricted and she had to switch the birth to a hospital birth.

“They didn’t know what the problem was. The midwives got a little nervous because it has to be a normal situation, and even though it wasn’t an out of control situation, he needed to be monitored.”

She never let the change get her down. Her attitude is so positive.

“He is healthy, he is here, and even though everything didn’t go the way I would have liked it to have gone … I’ve always said since the beginning that everything is going to happen the way it’s supposed to. I still believe that that’s the way it was supposed to be.”

I guess that saying that things happen for a reason is true.
