Katherine Heigl Confirms Departure From Grey’s Anatomy
On this week’s cover of Entertainment Weekly, Katherine Heigl confirms her exit from Grey’s Anatomy.
“I am done. We just finalized our agreement. Everyone had been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It’s sad but it’s what I wanted.”
And what has made her come to this decision?
“I started a family and it changed everything for me,” she says. “It changed my desire to work full-time.”
There won’t be any tear-filled exits. She isn’t expected to appear in any of the season’s final episodes. She does offer this apology though.
“I know I’m disappointing the fans. I just had to make a choice. I hope I made the right one.”
Choosing family over work is always a hard decision. I am sure she did the right thing.

What, no poignant and/or violent and/or freakish and/or implausible death scenes? George gets hit by a damn bus and Izzy just fades away? This is not right.
