Maggie Gyllenhaal looked fabulous with husband, Peter Sarsgaard, on the red carpet last night at the 2010 Oscars held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. She was up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Crazy Heart. It was too bad she didn’t win because I wanted her to win it.

Maggie recently shared how she was drawn to her role in the movie, where she plays a single mom who falls for an alcoholic country star…

“You know, when I first read it, I knew somehow that this was something that I wanted to play, and usually when I have that feeling, it’s usually that I’m right — I needed to do that movie.And this movie had a star over it. And if I think about what I aspire to, and what I like in movies, it’s to be in a movie like this.”

And she was right because it got her an Oscar nomination.
