The Obama Girls Save A Turkey
The Obama girls are smiling Thanksgiving thanks to the pardon they got from dad, President Obama, for a turkey named Courage.
“I was planning to eat this sucker,” the President joked. “Thanks to the interventions of Malia and Sasha, Courage will be spared this terrible – and delicious – fate.”
Courage is in Florida today in Disneyland where he is the Grand Marshal of the parade there. This isn’t the first time a pardon has been made for turkeys. Twenty years ago the first President Bush granted the pardon and President Kennedy opted to not eat the bird that was delivered to the White House.
