Martha Byrne Dishes On Her Thanksgiving Plans
This week is so busy, with Thanksgiving and Black Friday coming up. Martha Byrne, who used to be on General Hospital and is now working on the new show Gotham: The Series, dished to Breezy Mama about her plans for Thanksgiving.
On where she will be spending Thanksgiving this year: I host Thanksgiving every year at my home. We have a large Irish family and we have a sit down dinner for approximately 35 people every year. My mother cooks the turkey and the stuffing –the best — and the rest of the kids cook the sides and the desserts.
On her cooking: I LOVE to cook. I cook as often as possible. Since my family has a hectic schedule with school, sports and other activities, I tend to cook large dishes that I freeze to serve during the week. I’ve been getting more adventurous with spices and thinking outside my usual dishes, which has proven to be a hit with the kids. I can hide spinach in anything.
On her signature dish: I cook a spinach chicken parmesan pasta dish that is simple and delicious.
On what she can’t live without on Thanksgiving: My mother’s sausage stuffing. Unreal.
On what she’s thankful for: I’m thankful every year for my family’s health and happiness.
I have to tell you that my mouth is watering from all this turkey talk!
