Charlotte Church has a two-year old daughter that has Breath Holding Spells (which is an actual condition) and they caused Ruby to hold her breath until she passed out. It concerned Charlotte and her husband, Gavin, and they found out that it effects 5% of normally healthy children. It will go away before the child is 4.

“Ruby does this thing when she holds her breath, especially when she is having a tantrum and wants her own way. She will hold her breath until she passes out - the first time it happened it was absolutely horrendous. We’ve been taught to bring her round by spraying her face with water or blowing on her face. Every time it’s happened she’s been fine afterwards but it causes Gavin and I a lot of worry.”

I never knew this was an actual condition. I really honestly thought it was the child being silly. I’m glad now I know after my kids are older. Or else I would freak out every time my son did that.
