Ray Romano Gives Parenting Advice

Ray Romano

Ray Romano has been a father for a long time now and when he was on the Today show recently he shared his experiences with the first time father jitters over 19 years ago.

“I got real nervous after the baby was born. I didn’t do anything right. My daughter was born at St. Vincent’s Hospital right here in New York. I went to pick them up, my wife and child, and [with my] newborn baby in my arms, [I] go outside [and say], ‘Where’s my minivan?’ I parked in a tow-away zone so we had to go to Queens in a yellow cab. My daughter came home in a yellow cab.”

After having two more kids he has advice for the all the expectant fathers…

“My advice is just let the woman tell you where to go and what to do.” And he joked “as much sleep and as much sex before the baby is born is key! Because that’s over [after baby]!”

I think he’s right about that one! Especially about the sleep. My oldest is 13 and I have yet to sleep through the night since she was born.
