Eileen Davidson Talks About Being A Mom
Eileen Davidson has been playing Ashley Abbott on the Young and the Restless since 1982. She is also a mom to Jesse, 5. She recently talked to Breezy Mama on what it’s like balancing her acting career with being a mom. Here are the highlights:
On bringing her son to work with her: I do bring Jesse to work when he is out of school or on holiday break.
On her son seeing her on TV: He thinks it’s normal to see me on TV and calls me “TV Mommy” when he does.
On if it’s surreal being with her son one moment and in hair and makeup the next: It’s not surreal. I breastfed Jesse in the make up chair for two years. It’s pretty normal.
I think it would be neat to grow up on a soap opera set. When I was a kid I got a chance to see a soap opera set myself. What I remember of it it was cool. Her son probably runs around there all the time.
