M.I.A. Confirms Her Baby Boy Was Born
It was being reported yesterday that M.I.A. gave birth to a baby boy with boyfriend, Benjamin Brewer, on Wednesday. Now it has been confirmed on M.I.A.’s MySpace page. She wrote…
“Sunday night I came home from the Grammys still in the mood to party — I coulda easily gone out but I went home instead — lucky I did! My early stage labor kicked in around 2 a.m. My baby was born Wednesday. He is healthy, fine, beautiful and the most amazing thing ever on this planet — of course I’m his mum!! Me and baby are putting our tour dates for 2010 together, making mix tapes and figuring out a way to break out of the hospital! My baby boy says hi!”
She also said that having a baby is the most creative thing that you can do.
“Having a baby is the most creative thing you can do. It makes you re-learn the world through a child’s eyes.”
She is slated to perform O Saya, her Oscar-nominated song from Slumdog Millionaire at the Oscar’s next Sunday. We hope she can make it.
Congratulations goes out the family once again.
