Brendan Fraser’s Kids Not Sure What Their Dad’s Job Is
Brendan Fraser is starring in the movie, Inkheart, that comes out January 23 and is PG rated. I know I am wanting to read the book so bad. But I’m in the middle of the Twilight series still. Brendan says that its great to be able to show his kids, Griffin Arthur, 6, Holden Fletcher, 4 and Leland Francis, 2 ½, his movies when they get older.
”I know a satisfying experience at the movies with your family is a positive experience. There are other films that I’ve made, and when those kids grow a little bit older, then I’ll show them that work or they’ll find it themselves. In the end, I don’t know an actor who idles very well, so I’m happy to keep my hands and feet busy.”
He also can’t figure out the right way to tell his sons exactly what he does at work, since they don’t really understand.
“I tell them I’m going to work, and they say ‘What do you do, daddy?’ ‘Well, I defeat bad guys?’ ‘Wanna take one of my light sabers?’ [laughs] ‘You know, I want to go work with Han Solo.’ What?! Oh, by the way, I just got hired to work with Harrison Ford. Cool! Look at me, I’m turning into one of my kids. Don’t tell anyone!”
I know I saw Brendan on Live with Regis and Kelly the other day. He was such a big kid explaining how his kids and him celebrated his 40th birthday. It was mostly about pizza and light sabers….
