It is being reported that John Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, and daughter, Ella, are mourning the loss of their son and brother, Jett, while vacationing in the Bahamas.

TMZ first reported the death saying…

We’re told 16-year-old Jett was vacationing with Travolta and wife Kelly Preston. We do not know the circumstances of his death.

There have been reports that Jett was autistic, though Travolta has denied it, saying he suffers from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease.

The update that came later said that Jett suffered a seizure after hitting his head on the bathtub where they were staying. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

UPDATE: The Travolta’s attorney has released a statement about the death of Jett.

The Travolta’s family attorney, Michael Ossi, says Jett Travolta “suffered a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island” and had a “history of seizures.”

“Attempts were made to revive him, but [Jett] died at the scene,” Ossi said.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Travolta family at this time.
