Marissa Jaret Winokur Introduces Baby Zev
Marissa Jaret Winokur and husband, Judah Miller, welcomed baby, Zev Issac, at the end of July and now we finally get to see what he looks like!
“My friends don’t want to come over anymore because all I do is cry,” says Marissa.
Zev, is a miracle baby to her and her husband because of the cervical cancer she had. Marissa had to have her uterus and cervix removed because of the cancer but she still had her ovaries so with the help of a surrogate Zev was created.
“I was as involved as I could be with the baby. I went to all the doctor’s appointments and I talked to my surrogate every day. [We were in the delivery room] breathing together during the 12-hour labor. It was a real family event. We will be friends forever.”
Marissa describes Zev as perfect and already at ten weeks sleeps through the night. (He’s been sleeping through the night since three weeks.) When the baby cries, Marissa already knows how to handle it…
“I have a saying: ‘When in doubt, take him out.’ He loves the water. I love giving him a bath in the sink. I can’t wait until I can take him in the pool.”
Marissa also feels that Zev is a blessing from the cancer she suffered.
“If I didn’t have cancer, I might have been able to carry a baby myself. But then, I wouldn’t have this baby. So how can I ever feel bad about having cancer? Because of that, I now have Zev.”
I love her outlook at life. She is just always smiling…Congratulations go out to Marissa and Judah, he is such a dream!
