Sesame Street Will Soon Be Teaching About Homeland Security
Sesame Street has teamed up with Homeland Security to teach kids about their own safety.
“We all want our children to feel safe in this world,” said Meryl Chertoff, wife of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, at the kick-off ceremony. “And who better to do that than our Sesame Street friends, Grover and Rosita?”
I think it’s a great idea. I know if I heard Grover talking about something like that I would know more about it, even more than I do know. Kids trust those puppets. It’s a different world we live in now. Do you agree that this is the right move for Sesame Street?
