Rachel Weisz Talks About Motherhood In Vogue
Back in July, we showed the behind-the-scenes pictures from Vogue magazine. It’s nice to finally see the issue on the stands now. Rachel Weisz is covering the October 2008 issue. In the interview included she talks about being a mom and her career. Here are some highlights.
On being a working mom: “Things get more complicated when you have a child. We can’t both be working at the same time.”
On why she didn’t reprise her role this summer for the third installment of the Mummy: “In fact, I never even read the script because it was going to be, I think, five months in China, and it was just out of the question that I could do it straight after The Brothers Bloom.”
On whether she ever plans to return to the stage: “Nothing definite. I would do it in either city, London or New York.”
On roles she is attracted to: “I’m definitely interested in women characters who believe in something so strongly they’re ready to put their lives on the line in some way. People who are braver, bolder, more complex than me.”
