Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Talk About Harlow
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were at the Marble Slab Creamery at Beyond Shelter Monday. They introduced a new initiative for their charity the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation the “Text CHILD to 90999″ promotion. Just text the word “child” to 9-0999 in order to donate $5 to a children’s charity that the couple sponsors.
While there they talked about their baby, Harlow, and all the new things she’s been up to.
On having more children together: “If it happens, it happens,” says Richie.
On eight-month-old daughter Harlow: “She is pulling herself up standing … we don’t have to burp her anymore,” says Richie
On her first words: “She says ‘mama’ and ‘dada. She says ‘dada’ when she wants to play. Wants to laugh. And ‘mama’ is everything else. When we walk into a place, she waves to everyone,” says Madden.
On living in the spotlight with Harlow: “My priority is to make her unaware. She’s eight months now. I can’t put her in the infant seat and cover her. She’d definitely know something’s going on … she wants to experience life and, as a mother, that’s important,” says Richie.
